Angel Reese blasts Caitlin Clark in expletive ridden tirade: ‘You’re crazy as f**k’

Another charged encounter between Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark erupted when the Chicago Sky played had to be restrained after being knocked to the floor during a matchup against the Indiana Fever. So, what did she say in an angry rant? A lip-reader reveals the truth.

The incident occurred late in the third quarter when the 23-year-old, battling under the basket, was sent crashing to the hardwood by the Fever’s guard following an offensive rebound in what Clark described as a tactical foul.

Reese leapt to her feet and rushed to confront her rival, who was trying to talk away, as players from both teams intervened to separate them to make sure both starts remained in the contest.

The Chi Barbie, known for wearing her heart and emotions on her sleeves, left her frustration plain to see for all and now, expert lip-reader NJ Hickling has provided insight into her reaction.

“You f***ing grab! Grabbing like that,” Hickling claimed Reese said to the 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year, as per the dailymail.com.

“You’re crazy as f**k,” Reese then later shouted, with a pointed finger accusingly at the ex-Iowa Hawkeye as she was led back to her bench to calm down and get her head back in the game.

Clark plays down rivalry in WNBA opener

This latest confrontation is the newest chapter in what has become one of the sport’s most high-profile rivalries, one that traces its origins back to college basketball in the 2022/23 NCAA National Championship Game.

The forward famously taunted her rival by pointing to her ring finger and mimicking Clark‘s own hand-wave celebration after LSU defeated Iowa 102-85 to claim the title. Their rivalry reignited in the spring of 2024 when Clark led Iowa to a victory in the rematch, a contest that attracted 12.3 million viewers.

Less than two months later, the pair were meeting again, this time on a professional stage in the WNBA as the pair clashed four times, with Clark and the Fever going on to win three games which were marked by physical play and lots of fouls.

The pair met once again on May 17 as the Fever won a dominant 93-48 affair, with Clark recording a triple double by posting 20 points, 10 assists and 10 rebounds whilst Reese responded with 12 points and 17 rebounds.

“Let’s not make it something that it’s not,” Clark said to reporters after the game. “It was just a good play on the basketball.

“I’m not sure what the ref saw to upgrade it [to flagrant], and that’s up to their discretion. It’s a take foul to put them at the free-throw line.

“I’ve watched a lot of basketball in my life, that’s exactly what it was. I wasn’t trying to do anything malicious. That’s not the type of player I am.”
